September 1 – 4, 2017
The Calgary Pride Parade is now in its 27th year running! The vibrant colours and diversity of this event only grow bigger and better each year, and 2017 meets that expectation.
The Pride Parade will take place on September 3rd from 12:00 – 1:30 PM along 6 Avenue SW and will host over 60,000 spectators and more than 150 entries from community groups, politicians, churches, and corporations. Don't forget to enjoy Pride in the Park!
September 2, 2017
Are you Scot? Or not? You don't have to be to enjoy this much tartan, although you'll probably want to be when it's over. If you're into watching men in kilts lifting monstrous logs and tossing them, you'll thoroughly enjoy the Calgary Highland Games. But that's not all: enjoy plenty of highland dancing, piping and drumming, soccer, and plenty of traditional Scottish food (except maybe haggis.)
September 9, 2017
From 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, enjoy this travelling food, beer, and music carnival at Currie Park. In spectacular style, BassBus, YYCFoodTrucks, and Village Brewery will be in attendance at this spirited event. BassBus will be offering three stages showcasing 22 artists, with more than 13 food trucks on the docket by YYCFoodTrucks. Village Brewery will be providing three bars for all your favourite libations.
But that's not all! Enjoy the Fast n Furriest Weiner Dog Race, circus acts and roaming performers, circus school for kids, Lego Land, Bubble Soccer, a 30-foot inflatable climbing wall, a giant inflatable obstacle course, and a Carnival Market offering more than 30 unique vendors. Circle the Wagons is FUN at its most fun.

Inglewood and Ramsay will become host to five open galleries for the East Side Studio Crawl. More than 80 artists will participate in this 14th annual event, offering displays of paintings, sculpture, jewellery, printmaking, weaving, and much more. From 11:00 AM until 5:00 PM, grab a coffee and linger around to be inspired by the unique creativity around you. You might even take part in demos to learn something new for yourself.
September 20 – October 1, 2017
Who doesn't wait the entire year for the Calgary International Film Festival to come around? Highly anticipated, this must-attend event brings film buffs from all over the globe. Over 12 days, you can enjoy up to 200 films in a variety of genres from more than 40 different countries. See some of the most unique and inspiring creations and celebrate the wealth of spirit they offer. And who knows, you may just bump into your favourite celebrity in the process!
September 21 – 24, 2017
Probably one of western Canada's largest home shows, the Calgary Fall Home Show is host to more than 350 unique vendors for everything home and garden. If you are renovating, repairing, upgrading, redecorating, or even landscaping, this is the show you need to attend. This year, HGTV's Bryan Baeumler and the unforgettable Tiffany Pratt will be in attendance. Be sure to wear your comfiest shoes; you won't want to leave once you get here!
