In our third Behind the Scene With The Augusta Team post, we'll introduce you to our Administrator, Sandra Downey!
1. What do you do? What are the duties/functions/responsibilities of your job?
I am the Administrator. I work closely with the lawyer and banks in preparation for builder mortgages and closings for the purchasers. I also work closely with developers regarding our lot purchases and payouts.
I am responsible for various other administrative duties including, but not limited to, file maintenance, closing statements of adjustments for purchasers, bank deposits, and – yes – even some filing.
2. What made you decide Augusta Fine Homes was a good fit for you?
I’ve been with Nuvista Homes as well as Augusta Fine Homes for almost 20 years now. It’s a job I love and the people I work with are fantastic! It's easy and enjoyable to come to work every day to a great working environment.
3. If you were a crayon, what colour would you be and why?
Red – it’s always been my favourite colour – bold and sassy!
4. What part of this job do you personally find most satisfying? Most challenging?
It always feels great to successfully complete any task; there's something so satisfying about checking things off your to-do list! The most challenging aspect of this job is handling the builder mortgages – it’s a lot of work and very time-consuming but it’s also the most important part of my job.
5. What are your favourite things to do in your free time?
Definitely spending time with my granddaughter – she just turned one. I love to relax and read. It’s always great to get away from the City on the weekends for a day and head out to the mountains to enjoy the outdoors.
