2. Beekeeper Costume
It’s all a-buzz.
Have you been trying to find a unique costume to wear to that company party, but don’t want to go crazy on time to make it? Try this quick and easy beekeeper costume. Start with a painter’s coverall, some mesh, and a bunch of bees and in no time you’ll be the buzz of the party.
3. Cotton Candy Costume
Warm enough for those cooler trick-or-treating nights!
This super easy DIY cotton candy costume is giggle-worthy and truly adorable. It can be made for any size child (although your teenagers may not thank you) and is cost effective to boot. It’s up to you just how much “candy” you make, but the thicker the costume, the less likely they’ll be cold on that chilly trick-or-treating night.
4. Cookie Monster Costume
This one’s for the grown-ups. Me eat cookie!
Making the cookies themselves might take more effort than making this adorable adult cookie monster costume. A blue body suit, some tulle, and some felt cookies are all it takes to make this simple and sweet costume. You’ll be the most popular monster at the party if you bring along the bucket of cookies, too!
5. Maleficent Costume
Easy to make and good for any age.
All you need for this evil Maleficent costume is black Duck Tape, paper towel tubes, aluminum foil, and some imagination. Be sure to carefully cover the model’s head with a plastic bag before wrapping with tape! Add a little bit of Halloween makeup and a black cloak and you’ll have created one awesome wicked witch.
6. Bank Robber Costume
Substitute the clothing for men’s and this costume could be for both men and women.
In a hurry for a costume but no time to sew anything interesting? A bank robber costume can be made out of everyday black and white striped clothing, a black mask, and a sack full of Monopoly money. Even the dollar store should have most of the items you need for this fun costume.
7. Peter Pan’s Shadow Costume
This one could double as a regular Peter Pan costume, too.
If you’re okay with a little bit of cutting and sewing, this costume will definitely be a unique choice. Most would opt for a regular Peter Pan costume, but who thinks to go as his shadow? And if you're a couple, have one go as Peter Pan and one as his shadow!
8. Selfie Costume
No special clothing needed!
Another fun idea for a last-minute costume, this one doesn’t even require special clothing. This tutorial shows you how to make a quick selfie costume via your own printer. Glam yourself up and off you go!
9. Scarecrow Costume
For both boys and girls.
This adorable scarecrow costume can be made from normal denim overalls, farmer style shirt, straw hat, a few random patches, and some easy makeup. Stick a few handfuls of straw in random places and your son or daughter will be ready to scare away the vermin. If you want the straw bits to stay in place, sew them into the inside of the overalls for good measure.
10. Grey Lady Costume
Spooky and simple.
If you’re feeling a bit adventurous and crafty, this is a beautiful costume for any spooky party. Made from grey tulle, doilies, and lace, this Grey Lady costume is both elegant and ghostly. Get creative with your makeup by applying white face paint in a doily pattern.
11. Shark Costume
Super easy and warm too.
If you’re looking for something easy and quick to make for your son or daughter, this shark costume is just the thing. A grey hoodie and sweatpants are the base for this costume. Add a little felt for the teeth and eyes, and plastic canvas to shape the fin on the back of the sweatshirt, and you’re good to go!
12. Where’s Waldo? Costume
For both men, women and the kids!
Want to dress up as something fun for handing out candy, but don’t want to spend a lot of time or money crafting something? Where’s Waldo is quick and easy; all you need to make is the hat. Add some black framed glasses, a camera around your neck, and a red and white striped shirt and you’re ready to go!
Even if you don’t have much time left to craft a costume, these options are super simple and cost effective to make. Have fun and Happy Halloween!
